The Queensland Library Achiever of the Year Award, proudly sponsored by TAFE Queensland, was presented at the ALIA Queensland Mini Conference on Friday 4th October.
Phyllis Goodridge was awarded Queensland Library Achiever of the Year. Phyllis is Library Studies Lead Teacher and Coordinator for Library and Information Services courses at TAFE Queensland. She has guided many students as they commence their careers, including through the challenges of the COVID 19 pandemic. She has been praised for her dedication to her students whom she continues to support post graduation. Her understanding of the library profession in both theory and practice is immense.
An ALIA member since September 1990, Phyllis has also served on many course reviews and committees, including serving as ALIA Queensland treasurer since 2022.
