Meet the Executive Team

Jack Douglas

Jack Douglas

Convenor

Jack is an early career librarian with an interest in special collections and academic libraries.

Jack has been working in the industry for almost 10 years now, with experience working in charity, special, school, and academic libraries. His career goal long term is to work as a collection photographer, but right now he is trying to experience as much of the industry as possible.

He loves volunteering with libraries, it’s an excellent way to make contacts in the industry and build a network while also making a difference.

Ashleigh Lowry

Ashleigh is currently studying a Master of Information Studies (Children’s Librarianship) at Charles Sturt University with plans to either continue onto a PHD or find a job in children’s library programs. ALIA QLD has been a great source of friendship and networking for her as a baby librarian. Her dream is to build a network of Queensland and national GLAM professionals so we can all work together to make our industry as strong and welcoming as possible. 

Phyllis Goodridge

Treasurer

Phyllis has worked in special, academic and public libraries, and supporting and teaching students wanting to work in libraries for many years. She joined ALIA in the mid-80s and the services provided by ALIA to its members has always been a great support to her in her professional life. Working with the awesome people in the ALIA Queensland Group Committee is something she feels can give back to the profession.

Erin Davey

Erin Davey

Social Media Coordinator

Erin has worked in the field of public libraires for just over 17 years and joined ALIA in 2011. She started her journey in libraries at the age of 16 years as a trainee and continued on to study her Diploma and later her Bachelor.During this time, she has worked across various areas including circulation, customer experience, local and family history, programming (adults & children), and management.

 Erin lives and works in the Fraser Coast Region and loves reading and spending time with her dogs.

Senn Oon

Senn Oon

Committee Member

Senn Oon is studying a Master of Information Science (Extended) at Curtin University and has been involved with ALIA QLD since 2023. Their background is in IT and education, and they have also been involved in academic research. In their spare time, they enjoy arts and crafts, video and tabletop games, and cuddling their two cats.

Tony Courtenay

Tony Courtenay

Committee Member

Tony is Manager of a regional Health Library service, Based in Cairns (Far-North Queensland). He has been an active contributor to the ALIA Queensland Group since 2014. He is also Treasurer of the Australasian evidence Based Librarian’s Institute (AEBLIB). As well as being a regular contributor to the ALIA Mentor program.

Tony has a background in Health, Vocational, Public & Highschool libraries. He is a qualified and experienced legal studies teacher. He also has a trade-level qualification in Horticulture. Tony was certified as a Distinguished Professional by ALIA in 2021.
