Be part of the movement and join us for a day of conversation about critical librarianship. Collaborate with influencers who are bringing social justice principles into their work in libraries and are supporting marginalised communities.

We will explore the theory of critical librarianship and then break out into groups to discuss what library neutrality and social justice in our workplace means to us. We can then apply the theory to explore how we work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, homelessness, LGBTQIA+, and refugee and asylum seeker communities to name a few.

When: Saturday 22 June 2019, 9.30am – 3.30pm

Where: Brisbane Square Library (The End Room), 266 George St Brisbane

Cost: Free

Register: Join the conversation and register now

Refreshments and lunch provided.
